The nomination recognises the design, construction and commissioning of the Sparc Hydrogen Advanced Research Pilot (SHARP) at Roseworthy, the world's first facility purpose-built to test photocatalytic water splitting under concentrated solar. Hydrogen from sunlight and water, with no electrolyser and no grid electricity.
Named on the submission are Vinod Gopalan, Professor Greg Metha, Patrick Tapping, Anthony Pellicone and Susanne Hantos. Five names on a page, but the plant is the work of the whole team and our joint venture partners.
Congratulations to our fellow finalists.
